The name ‘merdeka’ means ‘freedom’ in malay, the author Ikram-zidane’s native language! This talented artist has mastered CSS to bring to the WordPress community quite a few high-quality themes. This particular theme has slide-down top(side)bar and stylish presentation of content and meta. If quality is key in your decision to pick a theme, look no further. As a side note, the author of this theme is only 16 years old and is still in school, so do show your appreciation and support his superb work by (at least) leaving the link back to his site from the theme footer intact.

Guys,
I had the same problem with the site not being available to download the theme.
I did find in the google cache of his site that it was called Merdeka.zip and then searched google for the file it and found a rapidshare link. It’s not my site, and I didn’t upload the theme to rapidshare so it’s up to you to trust it. But if you want to take a look and try it here it is.

We do have a copy of this theme (used in wpsnap.com/test for demo), but not sure if we are within legal bounds to redistribute Ikram’s work. If the author of the theme responds to this comment via the contact form on our site, we will make it available.
