Sakeena by Shazia Mistry is a refreshing change from the generic blog themes as well as those loaded with graphics. Soothing and subtle, it offers a unique layout of images and could very easily be customized to fit any site. The color usage is impeccable, and the design has good font header hierarchy. The design is fully based on the Sandbox theme and is very easy to adopt and navigate and is practically clutter free and very functional.

This theme was submitted to the Sandbox design competition, and the fact that it was a “design” competition, not a “theme” competition gives this theme many points. In my opinion, creativity is definitely more important than the finesse in a “design competition”, and Sakeena is one of the very few themes submitted that delineate some creativity. If I am to summarize this design in three words, I’d say, “It’s a beauty”.
