Hi, Very frustrated major newbie. Got a WP Theme. Now have a opt-in box "code" from Aweber. Haven't a clue how to get the box onto my site. Life should be easier than this. No wonder so many people give up wanting their own blog site to monetize. Can you help? Thank you!

If by "button widget" you are referring to the slide down menu, it’s by using JavaScript. If that is what you are interested in write to me using the contact form.

I was just wondering how do you have a bottom widgetised sidebar, similar to the one on your site? I have been trying for quite some time, but to no avail.

Do you think you could help, please?

Thanks, Nathan

The reason why copy and paste isn't working is because the single quotes used to represent a blank tag is actually a double quote instead of two single quotes. It might be something wordpress does when two single quotes are put in as text. I went to add in elements for my own reference and realized that.

@ Karen

Copy-paste can be tricky, the idea is to have those elements, try using the code below:

<?php
if (function_exists('register_sidebars'))
register_sidebars(1, array('before_widget' => '','after_widget' => ''));
?>

Or, if you are making only one widget in your theme, use this:

<?php
if ( function_exists('register_sidebar') )
    register_sidebar();
?>

Wow! Thanks so much for the tutorial. It's helped me understand widgetizing themes a lot more.

I've got the widgets working, but for some reason I see , 'after_widget' => before every widget on the page. Is there a reason for this? I copied the code exactly how you showed it.
